The role

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be joining a busy, hands‑on logistics environment where your work directly supports critical operations across the organisation and contributes to essential defence outputs. Day to day you will be required to:

  • Action supplier deliveries through the goods inward area and complete inbound receipting
  • Operate manual handling equipment to support warehouse activities
  • Maintain good housekeeping across the warehouse
  • Check product compliance including certification and shelf life
  • Pick and prepare outbound orders to meet customer requirements

 

Please note that this position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.

 

The role is based onsite at Donnington, and the set working times are Monday to Friday, 9‑day fortnight, totalling 37 hours per week.

 

Essential experience of the Warehouse Operative:

  • Basic IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Excel

 

Qualifications for the Warehouse Operative:

We value difference and don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and/or willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you. However, a forklift licence is desirable.

 

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
