The role
As a Technical Quality Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is a fantastic chance to offer specialised support to engineering, technical, and operational teams, helping resolve product quality and process challenges that may impact efficiency and compliance.
Day-to-day, you’ll offer guidance and assistance to Technical Engineers in conducting ‘triage’ and other quality related investigations, ensuring issues are escalated when necessary. You’ll also:
- Review Non-Conforming Material (NCM) responses as part of the Material Defect Reporting (MDR) process from suppliers and work with them to identify suitable root cause, corrective actions and preventative actions
- Lead the Lean Six Sigma process quality improvement activities as identified
- Maintain and improve non-conformance databases to ensure accurate data capture, provide analysis on non-conformity data to identify and mitigate material risks
- Support the Technical Quality Lead Engineer in the data analysis and review of internal and external stakeholder performance and escalate where required
- Support the Technical Quality Lead Engineer in maintaining and supporting key documentation
Please note that this position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Donnington.
Essential experience of the Technical Quality Specialist:
- Experience of engagement with Internal, Customer and Supplier Project Teams and Subject Matter Experts.
- Engineering and/or quality experience, preferably in a heavy equipment maintenance, repair and overhaul environment, low volume automotive engineering or remanufacturing.
Qualifications for the Technical Quality Specialist:
- Completed relevant technical or vocational qualification equivalent to NQF Level 3 (Advanced apprenticeship, level 3 NVQ)
- Lead Auditor qualified (ISO 9001:2015) or willing to work towards
- Qualified or experienced Lean Six Sigma practitioner

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Clearance (SC) security clearance for this role.
