The role

As a Senior Supply Chain Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll play a key role in supporting the availability and sustainability of military vehicles used across the defence sector. Working at the heart of engineering and supply chain operations, you'll lead a specialist team responsible for resolving obsolescence challenges, maintaining engineering compliance, and ensuring critical components remain available when they're needed most.

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

• Leading and developing a team responsible for delivering engineering and supply chain support activities.
• Managing obsolescence issues and identifying solutions that maintain the availability of military vehicle platforms.
• Reviewing engineering drawings, technical specifications and standards to support procurement and supply decisions.
• Providing technical guidance to internal stakeholders and external suppliers on engineering requirements and compliance.
• Monitoring operational performance, analysing data and driving improvements against agreed targets and key performance indicators.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Donnington.

Essential experience of the Senior Supply Chain Engineer

• Experience leading, managing and developing teams within an engineering environment.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience applying engineering standards, procedures and specifications.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and technical problem-solving techniques.
• Experience using engineering systems, reporting tools and data to support decision-making.

Qualifications for the Senior Supply Chain Engineer

• Level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline, such as an Intermediate Apprenticeship, Level 3 National Vocational Qualification, or equivalent workplace experience in an engineering environment.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
