The role
As an Inventory Clerk, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small team managing the sites inventory. 

 

Day-to-day, you’ll provision of a range of spares and/or repairable items within the Babcock Defence Support Group (DSG) Land Supply Team in accordance with DSG Land Supply policies, systems, and processes. You’ll manage associated provisioning activities to ensure optimum spares and repairable availability, raising and managing orders to achieve the organisation’s service targets for both internal and external customers.

 

  • Manage associated provisioning activities to ensure optimum stocking levels are maintained to meet business and customer key performance indicators.
  • Make full use of data, systems, and best practice to meet customer expectations and business performance indicators
  • Process planned orders

 

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office/onsite and days working from home.

 

Essential experience of the Inventory Clerk:

  • Basic IT Skills 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to communicate at all levels of the business
  • Able to work closely with all relevant stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Ability to relate to both client and customer needs at all levels with respect to operational delivery requirements

 

Qualifications for the Inventory Clerk:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
