The role
As an Export Controller, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be a key constituent of the Supply Chain team and focus on driving transformational change across our Supply Chain operations including integrated business planning, material planning and warehouse operations. 

 

Day-to-day, you’ll coordinate the flow of traffic to and from foreign destinations, including customs documentation and transportation. Further assisting in removing risk, reduce costs, increase flexibility, and support future business growth, in all aspects related to Import and Export activities.

 

 

  • Classification of goods and equipment
  • Understand and apply special procedures to minimise duty and/or VAT impact to the company
  • Maintain authorisations and submit papers to HMRC in a timely manner
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of internal systems and services, as well as legislation and maritime regulations
  • Work with Procurement, agents, HMRC and all other associated touch points as part of the important export process


Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.

 

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office/onsite and days working from home along with UK and international travel.

 

Essential experience of the Export Controller:

  • Prior experiences leading and managing within a highly regulated environment and operating within a large and geographically dispersed or matrix organisation with many levels
  • Prior experience in operational import and export and management
  • Experience working within the Defence Industry is an advantage

 

Qualifications for the Export Controller:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
