The SHE Manager role is based within our Devonport Royal Dockyard business area.

The role


The difference our new SHE Manager will make
As a SHE Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary; being part of a core team of SHE professionals that have one primary customer, the Submarine Support Engineering (SSE) business unit which is based in Bristol with satellite sites across the Country.


Day to day, you’ll play a key part to the delivery of SHE Management, and the integration of the SSE sites into the Devonport SHE Management System; this will include conducting internal audits against the requirements of ISO14001 and ISO45001 (as part of an Audit Programme) and proactively managing and reducing conventional SHE risk in support of our Company strategy.

Essential experience


•    You must have experience in a similar, highly regulated industry (e.g. Construction, Rail, Oil & Gas etc.)
•    You are required to be a Technical or Graduate Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH), (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards Graduate status having met the various institutions academic requirements.
•    Minimum of a NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent. Diploma level qualification is desirable.
•    Ideally, have a working knowledge of Facilities Management.
•    Ideally, a three qualification (or equivalent) in Environmental Management.
