About the role

Babcock International is the Army’s preferred training provider and we currently manage all aspects of the land training cycle, delivering over 758,000 training days annually for the British Army and producing personnel that are knowledgeable, skilled and competent to operate in the most challenging circumstances.

 

As technologies and the industry advances with the use of Synthetic Training, we are looking for a Lead Synthetic Training Solutions Architect to identify and develop synthetic training solutions to win new business and re-competitions for existing contracts.

Reporting to the Head of Future Business within our Business Winning Team you will identify and develop solutions that are innovative, integrate with and transform an existing training solution and use the latest training techniques and technology to meet the Armed Forces’ requirements for individual/collective training and education.
 
Key outputs/deliverables will be:
• Identify and articulate synthetics training opportunities that support strategic objectives.
• Provide analysis of synthetic training opportunities, including how those opportunities fit with wider offer/capabilities.
• Develop synthetic training, data capture and training data analytics solutions
• Support the preparation of capture plans to support bidding opportunities.
• Develop relationships with the Land training communities and synthetic research communities, including participation in MoD Industry forums such as the SERAPIS framework.
• Following the bid process, provide input to tender submissions and lead the synthetic training solution.
• Support negotiations with potential customers and partners.

 

What do I need to do the role?
You will need to have significant knowledge of Armed Forces training and an extensive and broad technical understanding of the use of synthetics in the delivery of live, virtual and constructive training and the exploitation of data generated.

We would also like you to have:
• Has broad understanding of upstream and downstream supply chain around synthetic solutions.
• An understanding of Defence System Approach to training (DSAT).
• An understanding of the process of bidding.

  • You can be based from one of our 3 main sites of Bristol, Andover or Winchester
  • Competitive salary
  • Must possess or be able to obtain MOD Security Clearance
