Babcock is trusted training partner to London Fire Brigade (LFB) to make London safer. This training partnership has seen the largest change to training delivery within the LFB for over 125 and are contracted to deliver over 200 different types of training courses totalling some 4,000 individual classes each year.


The planning team support the LFB with critical resource planning across various platforms and are looking to recruit a Resource Planning Analyst / Scheduler to provide highly accurate planning regimes.


The Resource Planning Analyst will monitor resource requirement and utilisation to support the most efficient training delivery schedule that will address the client specific requirements. They will also ensure resource utilisation levels are maintained at agreed levels, working closely with the planning team to support optimal resource utilisation.

• Review of all Course Resource Templates.
• Maintain resource stock levels and availability.
• Build and maintain resource maintenance regimes.
• Accurately record all data relating to reschedules on the Non Provision Log.
• To manage the request of LFB provided equipment and facilities, ensuring these are made promptly and are consistent with agreed request protocols.
• Running regular Planning Performance Reporting.
• To ensure that any conflicts/constraints in the reschedule proposals are identified and solutions developed in a timely fashion through close liaison with the planners.
• To provide accurate forecasts of resource requirements.
• Highlight instances where the proposed delivery plan cannot be supported by resource availability, working with the Planning Analysts, Training Managers and Babcock Critical Services to determine how best to resolve.
• To identify efficiencies with schedule development processes aimed at optimising schedule development.
• To review processes used to ensure optimum allocation of trainers to courses.


What do I need to do the role?


  • Relevant qualifications or experience, ideally within planning or scheduling.
  • Evidence of creativity and ingenuity in problem solving
  • Evidence of working in a system based office environment
