About the role

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit an MT Manager.

 

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll manage, lead and continually improve the site transportation performance to achieve cost effective delivery of the HADES business that consistently meets or exceeds all customer requirements and expectations.

 

Responsible for the maintenance of the professional standards and training of all within the AOR.

 

To provide professional drivers for all nominated tasks as required to meet the HADES contract.

 

Train and maintain competent and current Babcock colleagues as required to meet all tasks.

 

Manage the fleet of white and green vehicles working closely with the Authority, MTSS and parented units.

 

Main Tasks:
• Work closely with the Authority and parented units to ensure vehicle availability, with particular consideration for planned maintenance and faults.
• Control all Vehicle related administration within DVSA/RAF MT/DGSA/FTA Vision & Babcock guidelines.
• Hold and be the responsible person for any/all PSV/LGV Operators licenses (International) as required.
• Control the use of all on/off site contract Vehicles for driving and maintenance requirements.
• Ensure all aspects of the MT contract are fulfilled within the required time frames and budget.

 

What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need management experience in a similar role, UK and European PSV Management CPC Holder and be PSV, LGV & ADR qualified.

 

Would also like you to have experience in all or some of the following:
• Working knowledge of RAF/DVSA/DGSA/FTA Vision and Babcock. Transport administration.
• Working knowledge of Transport & Driver legal requirements.
• UK and European LGV Management CPC Holder.
• Defence Transport Manager.
• Defence Road Safety Advisor. 

 

Lastly, you’ll need a Full Clean UK Driving Licence.
