The role

As a Leading Technician (TMEC), you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary.

Day-to-day, you’ll Support military training across RAF Shawbury and it’s parented responsibilities with the control of the Testing and Measuring Equipment Centre in line with the individual site contracts. 

• Work within the Testing Measuring Equipment Centre to test tools/equipment parameters and complete relevant paperwork so equipment can be sent to third parties for use.
• Liaise with stakeholders and clients to ensure the smooth running of the unit.
• Be trained on military software to effectively complete day-today tasks.
• Influence and deliver better outcomes in line with business requirements.

This role is full time and is based on site at RAF Shawbury working a 9-day fortnight (72hrs over 9 days, week 1= 32hrs, week 2= 40hrs), with flexibility of your chosen day off on week 1.

Essential experience of the Leading Technician (TMEC)

• Electrical or Mechanical Technician background, with calibration.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and influence people from all backgrounds and at all levels.
• Computer Literate.
