Here at Babcock International, we are recruiting for a Building Maintenance Supervisor to join the team at RAF Shawbury.

 

In this role, you will ensure that contracted facilities management and building maintenance services are delivered on time, to budget and to a suitable quality that supports our customer to continue their airforce training operations, and keep their buildings and assets compliant with all relative standards. 
 

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who has experience in leading teams of both skilled and semi-skilled trades’ people, in the effective delivery of maintenance and repair services on various property types. You may come from a trade background yourself, and have progressed into a leadership role, where you are responsible for scheduling and supervising the work of a small team. Or alternatively, you may have worked in the Facilities Management sector and experienced in the below duties. 
 

What will you be doing?
Your duties will include:

  • Manage, develop and maintain a team that is suitable and capable of delivering the FM contract output in a Safe, Competent and professional Manner.  
  • Complete all required paperwork and record-keeping using the electronic management system and required documents 
  • Day to day management of subcontractors who are required to deliver services on site, including booking-in, scheduling and sign-off
  • Ensuring both planned and reactive maintenance needs are identified and carried out by the team effectively 
  • Responsible for the Health & Safety elements of all work undertaken by your team and subcontractors on site
  • Responsible for delivering the agreed programme of works within the agreed budget.
     

The experience you’ll bring 

  • Experience in the management of a multi skilled team delivering Facilities Management / Building Maintenance services
  • Recognized Health & Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH or similar)
  • Experience in coordinating subcontractor activity
  • Be comfortable with managing the paperwork and back-office process for scheduling and arranging work 

 

You will be required to reside within a 1 hour commute of the RAF Shawbury site, should you be required to be on-call
