The Role
As a Security Vetting Co-ordinator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll facilitate efficient and effective processing of security clearances for all relevant Babcock employees and contractors, in accordance with legislation, suggested best practice and Babcock processes and guidelines.

 

Day-to-day you'll:

  • Initiate security clearance process for all relevant new employees/prospective employees and contractors and collate and check ID documentation
  • Monitor employee records, to ensure appropriate clearances are renewed prior to expiry
  • Assist with data cleanse of security vetting records to ensure accurate records are maintained at all times in accordance with GDPR guidance.
  • Process all requests effectively, accurately and efficiently and in accordance with relevant processes and procedures.
  • Ensure all employee information is processed and stored in accordance with GDPR.
  • Update and maintain accurate systems information within scope of role and in line with current GDPR legislation.
  • Protecting assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference.

 

This role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week and has a hybrid working arrangement, split between working from home and from one of our UK sites (flexible location).

 

Essential experience of the Security Vetting Co-ordinator:

  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills 
  • Understanding of GDPR legislation as it affects the role (desirable)

 

Qualifications for the Security Vetting Co-ordinator: 

  • Minimum of GCSE Maths and English at grade C

 

The successful candidate must be able to achieve Enter level required security clearance for this role.
