The Role

As a Training Planner you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will work with internal stakeholders and the client to plan and schedule large blocks of training, sometimes years in advance. 

 

Day to day, you’ll be responsible for the production of the force preparation schedule and setting out the range of pathways for the British Army to prepare troops for operations. 

•    Maintain oversight of the collective training enterprise data inputs 
•    Incorporating insights including change requirements to the FPS process 
•    Produce force preparation resource requirements 
•    Lead on the development of contingency training schedules 

 

Experience Required 

•    Experience working in the Army HQ on Force Generation and Preparation processes
•    Operating knowledge of GFX planning applications
•    Knowledge of the Army’s single tasking mechanism
•    Understanding of the Army’s collective training levels 

 

Full Time / Permanent role based on 37 Hours per week with a hybrid working arrangement

 

Qualifications Required 

•    Ideally have previously been an SO1 or SO2 in the Army

 

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
