The Role
As a Senior Commercial Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Working for the Commercial Director, Training; you will be required to provide Commercial support and guidance on contractual issues across the Training Business Unit.

 

Day to day, you’ll be leading and supporting negotiations with the Customer / Supplier on contractual issues where required; as well as any changes on Training Business Unit Contracts or any other contractual documents or any Growth opportunities across the Training Business Unit:

 

  • Lead / support commercial projects across the Training Business Unit where required.
  • Lead / support development of new contractual documents including new Contracts, Supplier Contracts, Confidentiality Agreements, Teaming Agreements and Consultancy Agreements.
  • Provide appropriate governance guidance to the Training Business Unit.
  • Represent the Sector and commercial function at relevant customer meetings as required.

 

This role is a full-time position that is contracted at 37 hours a week and will be based at our Andover site with hybrid working from home arrangements. The current expectation is to be onsite weekly; there is also, a requirement for attending face-to-face meetings and / or delivering business across a range of internal and customer sites.

 

Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Essential Experience of the Senior Commercial Manager

  • Proven track record at a strategic operating level of leading negotiations and closing multi million-pound contracts, in public sector and / or MoD.
  • Demonstratable Commercial senior level experience of supporting or leading complex, high value contracts and contract changes.
  • Proven strategic commercial background in multi-disciplinary environments covering pre and post-contract activity.
  • Ability to translate impact of terms and conditions on P&L and risk to delivery.
  • Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with key internal customers, external suppliers and stakeholders.

 

Qualifications for the Senior Commercial Manager

  • Ideally, you will hold a recognised professional qualification (IACCM, WCC or PGCCM) or equivalent / similar but, this is not essential.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
