The role

As a Finance Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will play a vital role in supporting our Head of Finance across a business area that underpins some of the UK’s most important defence programmes. This is an opportunity to develop your career at the heart of a fast‑paced environment where your insights will influence strategic decisions, enhance financial performance, and contribute directly to operational success.

Day‑to‑day you’ll be required to:

• Deliver accurate and timely labour reporting, modelling and forecasting.
• Provide financial data and analysis to both internal stakeholders and external auditors.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline financial processes.
• Support customer reporting and ensure data integrity for key submissions.
• Collaborate across finance and operational teams to improve service delivery.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Finance Manager

• Significant experience using Power Query.

• Experience producing financial reports and analysis.
• Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly.
• Experience working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of financial controls and audit processes.

Qualifications for the Finance Manager

• Qualified Accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Training or experience in financial modelling or process automation tools – Desirable

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
