The role
As a Process Improvement Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will working within the Reframe Programme Team to design processes for new capabilities, ensuring alignment to Babcock’s existing Business Management Systems (BMS) as we transform our support to the British Army.   

 

Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for the facilitation of workshops to create new end to end processes. You will be a key member of the Reframe Programme team and exposed to a wide range of functions and stakeholders as we move to becoming a Single Source, QDC compliant business.

 

  • Facilitate workshops to identify the new processes, working with Workstream leads in the Reframe Programme team and business as usual (BAU) subject matter experts
  • To deliver standardised ‘process improvements’ within the Reframe Programme, designing new processes in line with current Babcock standards and approach
  • Update and create processes to ensure alignment with QDC requirements and new business capabilities
  • To ensure all processes are accurately documented and stored within the appropriate BMS
  • This position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.

 

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and requires regular travel to Donnington Shropshire, Andover, Hampshire and other Babcock base sites on a weekly basis alongside home working arrangements.

 

Essential experience of the Process Improvement Specialist 

  • Policy/procedure creation and management
  • Experience facilitating sessions, getting the right people involved, defining scope and boundaries of the process, understanding improvement goals
  • Minimum Lean 6 Sigma green belt experience 
  • Experience of Visio desirable
  • Qualifications for the Process Improvement Specialist
