Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
- Managing commissioning activities for LPG and LNG cargo handling systems
- Communicating effectively with shipyards, owners, and classification societies
- Planning and executing commissioning tasks to meet project objectives
- Coordinating vessel attendance and gas trials with clients
- Leading health and safety inductions for the Gas Trial team.
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week. Based in South Korea (with frequent travel for gas trials and vessel attendance), Hybrid working options are available.
Essential experience of the Commissioning Engineer – Mechanical / Gas Trial Engineer:
- Practical experience with liquefied gas tanker cargo operations (minimum 5 years at sea)
- Hands-on technical competence with ship machinery (refrigeration or LPG/LNG cargo systems)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications for the Commissioning Engineer – Mechanical / Gas Trial Engineer:
- Marine engineering qualification (essential)
- Additional certifications in LPG/LNG systems (preferred)

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
