About the role

Here at Babcock International we work as a key partner to the London Fire Brigade.This includes all the includes the management, maintenance, short-term rental, repair, breakdown & recovery, and protection of their assets and vehicles. We have proven capability in helping assure the safety of specialist equipment and vehicles for our customers during national disasters ranging from floods to terrorist attacks.

We looking to recruit a Workshop Supervisor to be based in our Workshop in Ruislip on a permanent basis.

 

This is primarily a workshop floor management role with focus on resource management, technical utilisation, workshop productivity, VOR reduction and health and safety policies and compliance.

 

What we are looking for:

• Demonstrate visible leadership characteristics & behave in line with the ‘Being Babcock’ principles
• Drive a culture of safety and wellbeing in the workplace. Deliver regular Toolbox talks to the workshop teams
• Supervise the workforce teams both technical and administrative
• Supervise Bodyshop teams
• Plan and progress work to ensure the effective use of both labour and equipment
• Provide technical expertise to the Technicians and Apprentices
• Drive the delivery of the most effective maintenance solution in line with agreed service perimeters
• Build effective relationships with key suppliers and internal and external stakeholders


What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need to have experience in a supervisory role in a workshop that repairs and maintains HGV's.

It is useful if you have knowledge of Tranman or similar  information systems, knowledge of MS Office applications, IRTEC or HNC related certification, manufacturer accreditation and an Industry related certification or qualifications.


What else do I need to know?
• The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
