The Supply Chain Development Specialist role is based within our Marine Engineering & Systems business area.

 

At our site in Rosyth, we aim to deliver engineering-led and world-leading products and services across our engineering, specialised manufacturing, gas handling systems and naval marine businesses

 

The role

 

The difference our new Supply Chain Development Specialist will make

 

As a Supply Chain Development Specialist you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Managing long term procurement supplier relationships from the design to the completion phase across our various projects, many of which are high profile.

Day to day, you will manage supplier relationships throughout the whole project life cycle. You will be tasked with the purchasing of high value goods and services, amongst utilising your procurement experience through the handling of other more complex tenders and purchasing situations. Knowledge of ITT, RFQ’s, Value Plans and Rebates will be essential for the completion of tasks associated with this role. Moreover, you will be tasked with the improvement of the performance of the R2P process, which will include dealing with requisition to order conversion lead-times, EOTIF and invoice match accuracy.

Essential experience


•    Experienced Procurement Practitioner with knowledge of current operational procurement techniques 
•    Experience with ERP systems, e.g. IFS, SAP, ORACLE – including exposure to the latest e-procurement systems capability 
•    Experience working in cross functional teams 
•    Hold MCIPS or studying towards MCIPS (or equivalent professional qualification) 
•    You should hold or have the ability to obtain full SC clearance
