Machine Maintenance Technician CNC
Location: Rosyth

Here at Babcock International we are looking for a Machine Maintenance Technician based at our site in Rosyth maintaining bespoke large CNC Machines that are one of a kind.
Purpose of the role:
Provision of Production Machinery, maintenance and repair to ensure the efficiency and cost effectiveness of machinery to meets critical targets through improved up time of vital machinery. Support customers and co-ordinate maintenance packages to suit production needs whilst working with customers to access machinery for reactive repairs.
Oversee and co-ordinate the compilation and maintenance of essential records, to including statutory records, PPM records, risk assessments and method statements to comply with required ISO standards.
The role also focuses on improving the reliability of key machines by taking a proactive approach to preventative maintenance activities and continuous improvement activities.

Principal areas of accountability:
• Ensure Legislative Compliance for the site namely PUWER, within area of responsibility
• Carry out all planned maintenance on allocated plant & machinery
• Carry out all repair and installation activities and resolve any issues.
• Ensure all systems are working efficiently as possible.
• Ensure all tools are in a safe and usable condition, ensure machine tag out is in operation
• Generation of repair report and official hand over of machine going back into production
• Conduct Monthly health checks
• Ensure daily operator checks have been carried out
• Carry out maintenance to auxiliary equipment including Jigs/Fixtures

What do I need to do the role?
• Academic Qualification to at least ONC/HNC level in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• IOSH or relevant equivalent.
• Knowledge and understanding of Servo systems
• CNC fault diagnosis using PLC
• Experience of Renishaw ball bar & Renishaw sub routines essential
• Knowledge of CNC machine tools and servicing/repair
