The role
As a Welding and Fabrication Production Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll lead and motivate a team of skilled operators to deliver complex fabrication projects that support the Royal Navy’s Type 31 programme. Day-to-day you’ll be:
- Leading and motivating teams to achieve production targets safely and efficiently.
- Managing workloads to meet contract requirements for cost, time, and quality.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Driving continuous improvement by eliminating waste and improving value-add processes.
- Taking ownership of activity levels and resource allocation within your area.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Thursday (7:30 am – 5:00 pm), with occasional overtime on Fridays or Sundays and is based on site at Rosyth.
Essential experience of the Welding and Fabrication Production Supervisor
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and communicate technical requirements.
- Skilled in working with metric dimensions to tight tolerances.
- Experience with laser leveling and working to datum points.
- Background in heavy steel fabrication.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings.
Qualifications for the Welding and Fabrication Production Supervisor
- Time-served with extensive recent experience in fabrication and welding.
- Formal fabrication or shipbuilding technical qualifications.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
