The Welder role is based within our Marine Engineering & Systems business area

At our site in Rosyth, we aim to deliver engineering-led and world-leading products and services across our engineering, specialised manufacturing, gas handling systems and naval marine businesses

 

The role

 

The difference our new Welder will make


As a Welder you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Carrying out daily machine checks, ensuring that any fault is reported immediately

 

Day to day, you’ll be carrying out welding tasks in accordance with the essential variables detailed on the selected WPS, visually inspect completed welds to contract acceptance standards and project requirements, maintain welding plant functionality, safely set up and remove any pre-heating equipment and use digital and thermal temperature recording devices

Essential experience

•    Indentured welder
•    WPS (Welding procedure specification) Adherence
•    An understanding of weld defects and causes
•    Perform set up procedures for all welding equipment and accessories to be used on projects
•    Must hold or have ability to obtain SC security clearance
