The role
As a Social Impact Partner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the forefront of driving meaningful change across Babcock Marine. This brand-new role offers a unique opportunity to shape and deliver measurable social impact initiatives that align with our sustainability strategy and values. From fostering inclusive practices to building community partnerships, your work will contribute to a more equitable and sustainable future - while accelerating your own career development in a dynamic and purpose-driven environment.
Day-to-day you’ll be:
- Championing inclusive practices by collaborating with internal networks to embed equity and belonging.
- Designing and promoting impactful community engagement programmes that deliver tangible social value.
- Contributing to training programmes that build knowledge in social sustainability, inclusion and diversity.
- Advocating for psychological and physical wellbeing through campaigns and initiatives.
- Co-creating and evaluating social impact initiatives aligned with business and societal goals.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Social Impact Partner
- Proven experience in social sustainability - whether in HR, Inclusion & Diversity, Corporate Sustainability or Community Development.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and build effective relationships.
- Strong knowledge of social impact frameworks and legislation (e.g. Social Value Act, SROI, UN SDGs, PPN 06/20).
- Understanding of inclusion, wellbeing and community engagement principles.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications for the Social Impact Partner
- Undergraduate degree in social policy, HR, sustainability or related fields.
- Professional certifications (e.g. SROI Practitioner).
- Membership in a professional body (e.g. CIPD) is desirable.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
