The role
As a Risk Specialist- Bids and Proposals you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll join the existing bid team in Marine Programmes. This role will be responsible and accountable for any Bid Risk Management activities, including risk identification & assessment. The role role will report to the Risk Discipline Lead.

Day to day, you’ll support the Risk Discipline lead in generating risk strategies and frameworks, developing and implementing the Project Risk Management plan. You’ll also develop and implement Risk Management policies, procedures and process 

  • Establish and implement Risk Management governance within the project
  • Act as the Risk Management Subject Matter Expert for bids
  • Manage the risk outputs assurance process, including data, analysis and reporting
  • Establish and maintain the Project Risk register(s) and guide PMs on best practice through risk workshop facilitation and other engagement means
  • QRA analysis within the company's toolsets – SRA’s and CRA’s for the project
  • Develop and assure the following: Project Risk Register; Risk data, metrics & reporting; Risk assurance reporting; Risk outputs to support commercial bid submission and variation orders 

This role is full time 37 hours and will be based at one of our locations: Rosyth, Bristol, or Plymouth. The role offers hybrid working arrangements.  

Essential experience of the Risk Specialist- Bids and Proposals:

  • Relevant experience in a similar environment / business sector
  • Experience of designing and implementing Risk Management methodologies, processes, systems and tools
  • Awareness of quantitative risk analysis methodologies and/or practical experience of risk modelling
  • Full project lifecycle experience working on complex and major projects
  • Experienced in various contracting methodologies (e.g. FIDIC/NEC/JCT)

Qualifications for the Risk Specialist- Bids and Proposals:

  • APM PMQ
  • APMG PPC
  • Management of Risk Practitioner or AMP Risk L1

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC Clearance security clearance for this role.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
