The role
As a Project Controller, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will apply project controls competencies independently primarily in complex situations across Project, Programmes and Portfolios (P3M). 

Day-to-day, you’ll lead on project controls support across schedule management, budgeting and cost control, risk and opportunity management, requirements management, change management and document management. You will also: 

• Develop/implement and maintain the Project Baseline Budgets including Control Account Plans/Responsibility 
• Assignment Matrix and WBS Dictionary (SOW) 
• Develop/baseline and maintain the Project integrated schedule. (Level 1-3) 
• Develop and maintain Project Risk and Opportunity registers and manage the mitigation actions. 
• Implementation of change management process on the project and assurance of alignment with the Business/contractual requirements.

This role is full time, 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Project Controller

• Basic knowledge / experience in the field of project controls and/or project management in an appropriate sector 
• Prior involvement in Project Management with demonstrable ability in the discipline.
• Experience of working in a multi discipline team on project delivery. 
• Awareness of various contracting methodologies (e.g. FIDIC/NEC3/NEC4/JCT etc…) 
• Application of project control toolsets including experience and knowledge of project performance analysis and reporting

Qualifications for the Project Controller 

• Ideally a bachelor's degree in engineering/project/construction management or a related field 
• A postgraduate qualification is also desirable, as is membership in a professional body 
• Having a professional qualification (e.g. APM/ACostE/RICS or equivalent) would be advantageous

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
