The role

As a Production Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. If you can bring technical and team leading skills and a safe working attitude, then we can provide you with one of the most exciting engineering projects this country has to offer.

We currently have multiple opportunities for experienced Trades professionals in disciplines such as Welding and Fabrication within our Hotworks bays as well as our Electrical operations to join our production teams in Rosyth, where you'll play a key part in helping to build the new ‘Inspiration’ class, Type 31 frigate as a Supervisor within your Trade to lead and support your teams within the Build Hall

Day-to-day, you’ll lead and motivate a group(s) of operators to safely achieve defined packages of work. Utilise resources in the most effective manner focusing on elimination of waste and improving value add. All within the prescribed budgets, quality and delivery timescales. You will also: 

• Efficiently utilise employees in the execution of the contracted work, ensuring that start/stop times, attendance standards, behaviour standards are always maintained.
• Manage the workload to meet contract requirements whilst achieving cost, time and quality requirements.
• Establish and ensure that safe working practices and the working environment is in accordance with the Company policy.
• Set production targets to employees daily ensuring achievement.
• Take ownership of activity levels within the area

This role is full time, 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday and is based on site at Rosyth.

Essential experience of the Production Supervisor

• Ability to work with composite teams
• Familiar with Cost and Schedule performance
• Requirement to read and understand Installation Drawing’s.
• Experienced in computer use e.g. MS Office, MS Word and Power Point.
• Experience of IFS for bookings & progress would be an advantage.

Qualifications for the Production Supervisor

• Time served with extensive recent experience in a relevant discipline.
• ONC/HNC preferred but not essential.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
