The role
As a Platform Security Controller, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Joining the security team and working on the Type 31 project.
Day-to-day, you’ll support and liaise with the Platform Completion Manager to ensure compartment completions from a security perspective are completed in accordance with the schedule and regulations.
- Define and manage physical security characteristics of the Type 31 class platform in accordance with build spec
- Ensure that the appropriate security policies and processes are adhered to by the Type 31 platform production/operations and commissioning teams
- Ensure that the appropriate security policies and processes are adhered to by any external contractors
- Ensure compliant fitting of security equipment and security furniture required in or external to Type 31 compartments
- Monitor implementation of physical security features during ship construction, assess compliance with requirements, and manage non-conformance/concessions already agreed
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at Rosyth.
Essential experience of the Platform Security Controller
- Experience in Defence security (preferred)
- Knowledge of IT Networks
- Strong communication skills

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
