The role
As a FM - Tech Machine Maintenance Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will provision the production Machinery, maintenance, and repair to ensure the efficiency and cost effectiveness of machinery to meets critical targets through improved up time of vital machinery.


Day-to-day, you’ll Oversee and co-ordinate the compilation and maintenance of essential records, to including statutory records, PPM records, risk assessments and method statements to comply with required ISO standards. You will also: 

  • Oversee, co-ordinate and audit of essential records, to including statutory records, PPM records, risk assessments and method statements to comply with required ISO standards
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory and organisational requirements and recommended best practice 
  • Lean awareness and to champion Total Productive Maintenance within Manufacturing
  • Engage with others and provide ideas which result in the implementation of continuous improvements.
  • Introduce new technology to improve uptime of machines, weld rigs and A&T


This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Rosyth. 


Essential experience of the FM - Tech Machine Maintenance Technician 

  • Significant knowledge of legislation, guidelines and industry best practice relating to Health, Safety Environmental.
  • Experience in planning maintenance operations within a machine shop environment
  • Understanding of technical aspects of Machine controls, Drives, Mechanics, Hydraulics electrical systems 
  • Extensive knowledge of CNC plant and equipment 
  • Good working knowledge of Electrical, PLC and Hydraulic systems


Qualifications for the FM - Tech Machine Maintenance Technician

  • Academic Qualification to at least ONC/HNC level in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • IOSH or relevant equivalent.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Servo systems
  • CNC fault diagnosis using PLC
  • Experience of Renishaw ball bar & Renishaw sub routines essential
