The role
As a Construction Project Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a new team working on a complex and challenging engineering project in the nuclear sector, within a nuclear related infrastructure development project.

Day-to-day, you’ll work with Package Managers, supply chain and commercial teams to develop contracts that integrate into the wider project plan. You will also: 

• Deliver key project management and controls tasks of subcontracted packages to support the overall project delivery.
• Support the planning, monitor and control of subcontracted work packages 
• Produce and communicate project-reporting data 
• Undertake of stakeholder management and communications activities 
• Deputise for Package Manager(s) when required.

This role is full time, 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Construction Project Engineer 

• Full project lifecycle experience
• Application of core project management & project controls techniques
• Awareness of various contracting methodologies (e.g. FIDIC/NEC/JCT) 
• Recent and relevant experience in a similar environment 
• Demonstrative involvement in Project Management or subcontract management

• Project Planning and Controls – Foundation
