As a CNC Machinist, you’ll be at the heart of our advanced engineering capability—creating precision‑machined components that directly support major defence, aerospace, and marine programmes. Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machinery to produce precision components to exacting tolerances.
- Translate detailed engineering drawings into accurate machining measurements.
- Perform equipment set‑up, calibration, and routine checks.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain high quality standards.
- Carry out additional machining and engineering duties as required.
This is a full‑time permanent position, working 39 hours per week, based on site at Rosyth.
Essential experience of the CNC Machinist:
- CNC programming, manual turning, and milling experience
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and communication
- Good attendance, positive attitude, and the ability to work independently
- Physically capable of performing machining duties
- Experience with Siemens CNC equipment is highly advantageous.
Qualifications for the CNC Machinist:
- City and Guilds in Engineering, National Certificate in Engineering, or equivalent
- Time‑served apprenticeship in machining.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
