The role

As an Advanced Sourcing and Technology Integration Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of bringing cutting‑edge technologies to market—starting with our pioneering carbon capture solutions—while helping us deliver lifecycle‑optimised, sustainable engineering for customers and communities. You’ll collaborate across Engineering, Sales and Tendering to source, evaluate and integrate new technologies and components that matter in defence, aerospace and advanced manufacturing. It’s a role that will stretch your skills, grow your commercial and technical acumen, and position you to make a tangible impact on national capability and net‑zero innovation.

 

 

Day-to-day you’ll be required to:

  • Support sourcing activities for new technologies and components in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Assist with supplier identification, evaluation, and onboarding.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and alternative solutions.
  • Prepare and manage RFQs, collect quotations, and support technical/commercial evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate records of suppliers and quotations, and contribute to reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Sales, Tendering) to ensure timely delivery of sourcing requirements.

 

 

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

 

 

Essential experience of the Advanced Sourcing and Technology Integration Engineer:

  • Background in engineering or supply chain with an interest in technology integration.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and communicate effectively with suppliers.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and supporting multiple projects.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

 

 

Qualifications for the Advanced Sourcing and Technology Integration Engineer:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related discipline.
