The role
As a Mechanical Trainer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll deliver training course modules and supervise practical training in the Marine Mechanical Refrigeration Arena. No prior training experience is required as we will look to develop you into the role if you have the necessary experience
Day to day, you’ll deliver training in theoretical and practical technical training on Mechanical Refrigeration Engineering techniques, complex systems routines, maintenance, diagnostics and repair techniques.
- Maintain and update training documentation as directed and to assist others as requested
- Assess trainee course work and provide feedback on performance
- Be responsible for the duty of care of trainees during the delivery of training
- Carry user level training equipment maintenance for which suitable qualifications and experience are held
Essential experience of the Mechanical Trainer:
- Proven experience in a mechanical background
- Confident in delivering training to a class of students, no previous teaching experience is required
- PC Literate
This is a full time role based on site at HMS Sultan in Gosport.
Qualifications for the Mechanical Trainer:
- Must hold a minimum Level 3 NVQ/C&G in a related Engineering discipline
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
