The role
As an Academic Trainer - AES you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll deliver Aeronautical Engineering courses in line with company standards and contractual requirements, and support the preparation of course modules as directed by the Department Training Manager.

 

Day to day, you’ll deliver specified Aeronautical Engineering training to all levels of the Royal Navy trainees, specialising in theory of flight and air frames. Please note no prior training experience is required as we will look to develop you into the role

 

  • Managing and instructing military and civilian personnel in Aeronautical Engineering academic modules to post graduate level in accordance with approved instructional specifications
  • Supervising the conduct of laboratory and assignment work in support of the above
  • Invigilating of examinations and marking assessments and assignments in support of the above
  • Being responsible for a Module Resource Pack and/or the Subject Matter Expert with respect to Aerodynamics, Aerostructures, Aircraft Integrity Monitoring and Flight Test modules
  • Maintain personal CPD portfolio in respect of new technologies and equipment, and new training delivery methodologies

 

Essential experience of the Academic Trainer - AES:

 

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Applications and be curious about latest technical training support resources 

 

This is a full time role offering hybrid working based at our HMS Sultan site in Gosport.

 

Qualifications for the Academic Trainer - AES:

 

  • Minimum L6 qualification six on the National Framework 

 

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
