The Quality Assurance Engineer role is based within our Mission Systems business area.

The role

 

The difference our new Quality Assurance Engineer will make

 

As a Quality Assurance Engineer you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll support the Manufacturing Quality Assurance Manager and Senior Quality Assurance Engineer in the day-to-day running of the Production Facilities, ensuring delivered product meets the customer requirements for Quality, Cost and On Time Delivery.

 

Day to day, you’ll support the management of the Production Quality team, ensuring resourcing meets production and customer requirements whilst also supporting Production by conducting audits and driving corrective and preventative action.  You’ll participate / support customer and regulatory Audits as and when required. Measuring and driving action to reduce defects in our products and processes by taking effective containment and preventative action aligned with our customers zero defect targets. You’ll also participate in NCR, 5 WHY, 4C and 8D investigations.

Essential experience

 

•    HNC/HND (or equivalent) in an appropriate subject or Engineering based apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
•    Time served electrical or mechanical apprenticeship. Defence Industry experience desirable.
