About the role
Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a PMO Planning Manager.

 

The vacancy is at Devonport and offered on a permanent, full time basis.

 

The Estates Project Department is responsible for delivering extensive and diverse electrical infrastructure upgrades and improvements across the entire Devonport Site and often beyond. A significant, recent commitment to invest in site improvement necessitates expansion of the existing core team to accommodate delivery.
 
Main Purpose of Role:
Responsible for the planning preparation of a series of MoD New Works and Babcock Capex projects through a five year planning horizon. This role will require the individual to manage a team of planners who will be responsible for the production of an investment plan around the operational business.

 

The Projects will range from high to medium and low complexity projects through a number of disciplines, the planning requirement will require delivery to be timely and cost effectiveness. Cradle to grave management across the portfolio, maintaining high standards of delivery whilst supporting the delivery team with day-to-day management, process and financial control.

 

There is a particular focus on developing and maturing company, site capability and facility readiness initiatives and strategies to enable funding, design and delivery.

 

Driving high safety standards and expectations across all areas of the business whilst being an ambassador for diversity and inclusion.

 

This role will continually monitor performance, resource and map capability to ensure the team is prepared for current and future demand. 
 
What do I need to do the role?
 
You’ll need experience of Managing a Team with project delivery focus, experience with large Infrastructure projects at all stages of the RIBA process, an Engineering Degree with a background in infrastructure project delivery or an appropriate experience and a good working knowledge of P6 Preimavera Software.
