IT Programme Manager
About the role

Here at Babcock International, Devonport we’re looking to recruit an IT Programme Manager with either Application or Infrastructure project experience to join an established, projects focused team working at our Devonport site.
As the IT Programme Manager you will work to ensure effective delivery across IS Programmes and large projects. You will matrix manage a number of project managers to establish and maintain the deliverables across a variety of projects escalate any issues when required.
You will be joining a busy, highly motivated team of Programme and Project Managers.

What do I need to do the role?

 Programme management qualification such as MSP (Managing Successful Programmes)
• Project Management qualified such as IS Project Management (Higher Level), MAPM - Member of the Association for Project Management, PMP ® - Project Management Professional, Practitioner Certificate in PRINCE2 ®, Chartered IT Professional (CITP), SCRUM Master, PMI ACP, APMG AgilePM
• Expert in principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of projects and programmes from initiation through to implementation.  Example: MSP, PRINCE2, PMI, SCRUM, Kanban
• Project Management experience within a technology environment, with expertise in either Infrastructure or Applications Project Delivery.
• Programme Management experience within a technology environment
• Personable and professional leadership style that is customer focused, and always strives to achieve a win-win scenario despite having to resolve conflict and take difficult decisions on behalf of the Group.
• Highly collaborative and able to work successfully as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Skilled at delegating tasks, responsibilities and authorities effectively
• Good oral and written communication skills, ability to create engaging material to support active project management including stakeholder engagement


What else do I need to know about the role?
