The role
As a Supplier / Driver you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for courier escorting, delivery and receipt of service family accommodation, which will also involve the issue, receipt, and storage of logistics supply-chain in support of HADES operations.

Day-to-day you’ll escort couriers onto the site to facilitate the delivery of service equipment and locate and manage all barrack stock holdings in accordance with Defence and Air Logistic policies.

• Organise and perform office moves as required.
• Maintain physical security of all stocks, assets, and buildings under your control.
• Check and safely operate manual handling equipment provided for use within supply flight operation areas.
• Carry out cross-training for other supply roles to ensure business continuity.
• Be responsible for personal safety as well as the safety of colleagues and visitors, ensuring safety is prioritised over all other elements. Accurately and promptly report any safety event or observation to the first-line manager for investigation and corrective action.

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Wyton. You'll work an average of 39 hours a week.

Essential experience of the Supplier / Driver

• Experience in dealing with senior stakeholders and liaising with Contract Managers.
• Demonstrated adherence to all Health & Safety standards and policies, including risk assessments, in a previous role.
• Previous experience in a role with manual handling safeguarding requirements.
• Ensured vehicles were loaded correctly to guarantee both safety and the protection of all equipment during transit.
• Worked in an environment where the unsupervised moving of equipment was carried out safely.
• Manual driving licence required

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC security clearance for this role.
