As a Site Operative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be contributing to the smooth running of ceremonial events and ensuring the site is maintained to the highest standards for those who serve.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
- Collect and deliver stores, parcels, furniture, and office equipment
- Safely operate manual handling equipment and other tools within Supply Flight areas
- Prepare and dismantle event equipment, including marquees, tents, and seating
- Maintain site grounds, including gritting/salting paths and litter picking
- Perform general labouring tasks, such as cleaning and sweeping as directed.
This role is full time working 39 hours per week and is based on site at RAF Wyton, Cambridgeshire.
Essential experience of the Site Operative:
- Physically fit and experienced in outdoor, manual labour roles, with proven ability to meet demanding physical requirements
- Demonstrated capability to multitask, delivering excellent customer service and maintaining strong organisational skills
- Proven attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all tasks while working effectively as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to produce clear, concise reports.
Qualifications for the Site Operative:
- Full, clean UK manual driving licence
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills, with good proficiency in Maths and English.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
