The role
As a Fitness Instructor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Assisting with the efficient and effective operation of: the gymnasium, sports and fitness equipment, fitness classes and assisting users where necessary.

Day-to-day, you’ll deliver Fitness class’s daily for service and civilian personnel, as well as:

• Delivery personal training programmes and advice to customers as required.
• Undertake daily Health and Safety checks on all fitness equipment and facilities within RAF Wyton for serviceability and cleanliness and the recording of the inspection. 
• Rectifying any deficiencies either by direct action or the call out of outside contractors. Thereby providing effective daily management and maintenance of the Gymnasium facility
• The effective management and maintenance of all external facilities at RAF Wyton, including the Combat Centre, Triathlon Club, Tennis Courts, Old Pavilion, New Pavilion and sports fields.
• Facilitating Gymnasium inductions ensuring that the correct Health and Safety information is provided, and that membership cards and fingerprints are issued correctly and safely secured.    

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Wyton.

Essential experience of the Fitness Instructor:

• Excellent communication skills at all levels; verbal and written and good interpersonal skills a 
• Computer Literate data inputting comfortable with Microsoft packages 
• Has proven organisational skills to be able to organise competitions etc. 
• Evidence of experience of working unsupervised in a face-to-face fitness environment.
• Customer service in a fitness environment

Qualifications for the Fitness Instructor:

• Level 2 minimum level 3 desirable Personal Trainer
• Circuit Training qualification
• First Aid at Work qualification

Security Clearance

• The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS security clearance for this role.
