The role
As a Driver Handler, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Working alongside the RAF to ensure smooth operation of the site. 

Day-to-day, you’ll play a key role in a variety of tasks, from moving aircrafts to refuelling.

• Fuel bowser driving
• Maintenance and checks aligning with vehicle safety and compliance to support flying operations
• Control all vehicle related administration within DVSA/RAFMT/DGSA (DVSA – Driving Vehicle Standard Association – RAFMT RAF Military Transport – DGSA Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor) and Babcock guidelines
• Assist in the ground movement of aircrafts
• Prepare aircrafts for upcoming flights, conducting see-in and see-off procedures as well as being authorised to carry out fuel and oil replenishment on the aircraft

Please note that this position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.

This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based on site at RAF Benson.

Essential experience of the Driver Handler

• Ideally previous experience in a similar role
• Clean Driving Licence
• Working knowledge of Transport & Driver legal requirements
• Meet eye colour vision of CP2/CP3 for airfield airside operations.
• Tachograph knowledge either digital or paper

Qualifications for the Driver Handler

• PSV, LGV C on licence, & ADR Qualified. Category C on license as a minimum to be considered

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain EDBS and CTC security clearance for this role.
