The role
As an Air Operations Clerk you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will ensure the provision of operational support to the flying task.
Day to day, you will be preparing briefing material for the upcoming days' flying, co-ordinate and display aircraft allocation, NOTAM, meteorological information, and Royal Flight data for the daily flying programme.
You will also:
- Ensure relevant publications, maps charts and documents are to the correct amendment state and readily available in the Ops room.
- Composite statistical data and have a good understanding of flying operations system databases.
- Assist in post-crash management procedures providing administrative support to the Duty Authoriser.
- There will be general duties as required, including (but not limited to), driving, housekeeping and other responsibilities as allocated by the SOM
Essential experience of the Air Operations Clerk:
- IT literate, confident using a range of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experience of providing support to Military or Civilian flying operations
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A methodical approach to planning workloads with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and complete tasks to tight deadlines

This role is full time and based on site at RAF Benson.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance level for this role.
