In this role, you will:


  • Provide a Program Management Capability to develop and maintain the plan of sustainment activities to be undertaken by Babcock to facilitate the level of availability and capability required by the Canadian Submarine Force, considering the requirement inputs provided by:
    • The Class Plan
    • The Victoria Class Submarine (VCS) Enterprise Risk Picture
  • Be responsible for the development and upkeep of the Submarine Long Term Plan (LTP)
  • Be responsible for the development and upkeep of our Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
  • Be responsible for providing the support functions necessary for the delivery of the Victoria In-Service Support Contract (VISSC)
  • Be responsible for coordinating Babcock’s input into Sustainment Working Groups with the Department of National Defence (DND)
  • Be responsible for maintaining a consolidated project schedule, combining all Sustainment Activities to facilitate effective management of that work by the Program Management Team
  • Assist the Project Management team in identifying methodologies to control resources and task execution for projects


As our ideal candidate,


  • You have considerable experience in the management and mentoring of staff, and will be a capable leader
  • You have at least ten (10) years of Project Management experience in a complex project environment
  • You have at least five (5) years of experience in Asset Management, and ideally, Naval In-Service Support
  • You are preferably competent in the use of Primavera (P6)
  • You are capable of self-driven work as well as driving and motivating others to perform to targets
  • You are fully conversant in the use of Microsoft Office Products
  • You are eligible for Canadian NATO Secret Security, Canadian Controlled Goods, and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) clearances.
