In this role, you will:


  • Work with the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) capture team to develop the aviation solution
  • When required, attend weekly meetings in the Ottawa office as part of the FAcT capture team
  • Ensure Company health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times
  • Act as the single point of contact for the technical solution architect for all technical advice relating to the Fixed Wing (FW) training requirements as published by the Customer in the various drafts and full RFP
  • Be responsible for the capture and maintenance of all requirements relating to the FW training elements working in close collaboration with the requirements manager
  • Collaborate fully with the training design team in the fidelity analysis and media analysis for the FW training elements
  • Work alongside the procurement managers in the analysis, selection, negotiation and procurement of suitable aircraft platforms, associated ground based training systems and ISS options
  • Collaborate fully with the cost modeller(s) in the generation of accurate CAPEX and OPEX cost estimates
  • Collaborate fully with the planners and schedulers in the generation of realistic implementation program plans


The ideal candidate:


  • You are a Military FW Pilot with five (5) – eight (8) years operational experience
  • You are a project management practitioner with demonstrable experience in managing a technical program to performance, cost and time
  • You have experience in bids for complex military flying training solutions programmes at a national scale
  • You have experience in the delivery and operation of military flying training systems
  • You demonstrate success in developing innovative technical solutions in military training systems, solutions and equipment
  • You demonstrate success in managing the selection, evaluation and procurement of training system enablers and support to complex training programs
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
