In this role, you will:
 

  • Maintain database results by setting and enforcing standards and controls.
  • Plan, manage, assist or support, the development or integration of systems, methodology and that deliver business change and improvement while ensuring the possibility of potential system expansion
  • Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data
  • Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects
  • Support others in the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to legal and company standards
  • Assist with reports and data extraction as required
  • Monitor and analyse information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades etc.)
  • Ensure digital databases and archives are protected from security breaches and data losses
  • Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications
  • Complete other duties as necessary 

 

As our ideal candidate:
 

  • You have 6 years’ experience in the last 10 years performing data management of defence systems
  • You hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • You have excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)
  • You have a comprehensive understanding of information management systems architecture
  • You have experience developing and managing information management data, systems, technology, and processes
  • You have knowledge of DND ITM systems such as DRMIS
  • You are proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word etc.)
  • You have an analytical mind set with problem-solving skills
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
