In Canada, Babcock is best known for our work in the Marine sector; providing critical and complex support to Canada’s submarine fleet. We are now expanding our Canadian business into the Aviation sector by providing Aerial Emergency Services to the Province of Manitoba and Civil Nuclear Services to Utilities in Ontario

In this role, you will:

 

  • Support the business and strategic planning for the company, support capture strategy and analysis, build business cases and conduct analysis of the Canadian market to identify opportunities for investment
  • Be part of a dynamic team in multi-sector fields including defence, aerospace and security
  • Have a passion for applying business and financial research and analytical principles to improve the market and competitor knowledge base of the company.
  • Performance Measurement: Supports the Commercial and Business Development team to use and develop an appropriate range of performance measures and metrics in analyzing and using associated data.
  • Research: Perform complex market research and analysis in support of targeted and strategic business goals.
  • Intelligence: You will assess large levels of information and data, eliminate irrelevant material and disseminate that information which is useful to the organization as required
  • Financial Analysis: Execute financial analysis of macro and micro market sectors based on existing and original data developed through your research.
  • Reporting: Author comprehensive and detailed reports ranging from regular template based submissions to bespoke research papers based on the needs of the organization.
  • Collaboration: Develop and use your existing network to work cooperatively and in partnership with colleagues and external stakeholders to further the level of knowledge available to the organization.

 

As our ideal candidate,

 

  • You have an undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or related subject
  • You have a minimum of 4 years of relevant business analyst experience
  • You have a focused interest and experience in complex research and analysis
  • You have strong time management and organizational skills
  • You have excellent customer service and stakeholder management experience
  • You have excellent report writing skills
  • You have excellent presentation skills
  • You are a self-starter and are capable of excellent output with minor guidance and supervision
  • You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, and PowerPoint, Outlook and Microsoft Project.
  • Advanced skills in Excel (VBA Programming), SharePoint, Business Intelligence, and data analytics tools (such as Power BI) would be considered an asset
  • You will be eligible for Canadian Secret Security, Controlled Goods and ITAR Clearances
