We are now seeking candidates for roles on a bid team seeking to secure a large military flying contract.

In this role, you will:

 

  • Be responsible for writing proposals which fully detail the scope, schedule, cost, and deliverables for projects, as requested by external and internal customers.
  • Write, prepare and format complex Word, PDF and Excel, Visio and Power Point documents. 
  • Be responsible for the editing text produced by others, including senior members of the team.
  • Address operational and functional contributions to ensure bid documentation is submitted on time.
  • Be responsible for the coordination of the responses of subject matter leads for fulfilling parts of the bid process.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and application of bid process in the production of bid documentation including active involvement in storyboarding of bid responses (ensuring compliant, compelling and well-structured answers).
  • Support the compliance of bid documentation to customer requirements.
  • Maintain effective document management and version control for bid and bid related documentation.
  • Be responsible for the completion of editorial checks during the bid process.
  • Be responsible for the writing of tender responses, liaising with SMEs.
  • Assist with compiling final documentation as required.
  • Ensure that gated reviews are organized and carried out to enable final sign-off and acceptance of the proposal by key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with approved Babcock Canada processes and procedures relating to the development, review, and submission of proposals.

 

The ideal candidate:

 

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree, in a related discipline
  • You have at least four (4) years’ relevant experience in proposal/bid generation and/or contracts management
  • You have excellent communication skills, oral and written (English)
  • You have superior interpersonal skills and ability to deal with a variety of people at all levels, including internal and external stakeholders
  • You have exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • You currently hold, or are actively pursuing your Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification through the Project Management Institute (PMI) or an equivalent certification through an appropriate professional body (an asset)
  • You preferably have experience in the Defence and Aerospace Sectors
  • You are available for occasional travel, both locally and across Canada
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
