About the role 

In this role you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the schedule within our Collins Class Submarine maintenance / refurbishment support. You will be applying project control competencies, developing and maintaining the Program Integrated Schedule, and taking the lead on project controls across schedule management and at times cost. You will prepare and maintain program structures and schedules for activities and events, taking account of dependencies and resource requirements.  In addition, you will gather information from various sources to ensure accuracy and control of forecasts and actual costs against budgets.

 

Reporting to the Operations Manager SA, you will be based at our Osborne site, forming part of our Mission and Support Systems business working on the Collins Program.

 

About you 

You will have the ability to collaborate across the program, provide insights and advice within scheduling management and have the ability to make recommendations on schedule options and strategies to focus on optimisation and refinement.

 

Your background will come from a similar environment (eg Defence, maritime) or any related business sector where scheduling has been your key focus, and you will have a high level insight into project performance analysis and reporting variance analyses, trend analysis and change control management.

To be successful ideally you will have:

 

  • Australian Citizen with active Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain and maintain)
  • Advanced level of schedule management experience
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of commercially available scheduling systems (MS Project, Prima Vera, IFS)
  • Full project lifecycle experience from bid phase through to close out
  • Ideally a Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Project Management or another related discipline
