The role

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll play an important role in supporting military aviation operations by ensuring the efficient movement, storage and distribution of equipment and supplies. Working within a busy logistics environment, you'll help maintain essential supply chain services that directly support operational readiness across the site.

 

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

 

  • Assisting with the receipt, storage, movement and distribution of stock and supplies.
  • Supporting the delivery and collection of furniture to and from Service Family Accommodation and site locations.
  • Collecting and managing laundry and dry-cleaning requirements across the site.
  • Maintaining organised, compliant and secure storage areas in line with operational procedures.
  • Ensuring the physical security of stock, equipment and warehouse facilities.

 

This role is full time, 39 hours per week and is based on site at RAF Cranwell. Set working times are Monday to Thursday, 08:00 to 16:30 and Friday, 08:00 to 15:30. 

 

Essential experience of the Warehouse Operative

  • Experience working within a warehouse, logistics, supply chain or stores environment.
  • Experience handling, receiving or distributing stock and materials.
  • Confidence using computer systems to manage logistics or inventory information.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
  • Experience operating in a structured, safety-focused environment.

 

Qualifications for the Warehouse Operative

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Category C1 driving licence (up to 7.5 tonnes) - desirable
  • Forklift Truck Licence - desirable

 

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
