The role

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll support the supply chain activities that keep our aviation operations moving. Working as part of the logistics team, you’ll carry out a wide range of duties in accordance with MOD, RAF and Babcock processes—ensuring equipment is stored correctly, accounted for accurately, and available when required.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

 

  • Carrying out all logistics duties in line with MOD/RAF/Babcock policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining storage areas in accordance with Defence Logistics Framework and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring personal authorisations, training and competencies remain up to date.
  • Supporting the upkeep and husbandry of the FEG department, compounds and vehicles within your area of responsibility.
  • Managing equipment establishments to ensure items are stored, maintained and accounted for accurately.

 

This is a full‑time, permanent, onsite role working 39 hours per week, Monday–Thursday 08:00–16:30 and Friday 08:00–15:30.

 

Essential experience of the Warehouse Operative:

  • Previous experience in supply chain or logistics within a military or civilian environment.
  • Experience using logistics‑based computer systems.

 

Qualifications for the Warehouse Operative:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • C1 LGV up to 7.5 tonnes (desirable).
  • Forklift Truck (FLT) licence (desirable).

 

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
