The role

As part of our Aviation business, you'll join a small but highly effective facilities management team responsible for maintaining compliant, safe, and operational training environments for service personnel.

 

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

  • Monitoring building systems, equipment, and facilities to ensure they remain safe, compliant, and operational.
  • Carrying out routine testing, inspections, and water hygiene activities.
  • Performing minor repairs, touch-up painting, and general maintenance tasks across the site.
  • Supporting building presentation through spot cleaning and basic upkeep activities.
  • Escorting contractors and helping maintain compliance with health, safety, and statutory requirements.

 

This is a full-time, onsite role working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, based at RAF Cranwell. Participation in an on-call rota will be required.

 

Essential experience of the Maintenance Operative:

  • Demonstrating basic computer literacy and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • Working with a strong commitment to health, safety, and safe systems of work.
  • Taking a proactive and hands-on approach to practical maintenance and facilities tasks.
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues, contractors, and site stakeholders.
  • Managing day-to-day responsibilities with a reliable and organised approach.

 

Qualifications for the Maintenance Operative:

  • Full UK Driving Licence.

 

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
